No Disruptive Work is currently planned for the main pool areas!

Work continues on the Newlands Phase 3 Reedbed Project on each Tuesday and Thursday between the hours of 9am and 2pm. Installation of the new Osprey Nesting Pole is now complete.

A temporary observation screen is now open to the general public and can be accessed from the Carlton Hide path.

Overview

Brandon Marsh is a 228 acre nature reserve with SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) status lying on the banks of the River Avon to the S-East of Coventry. The reserve is also the headquarters of the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust.

It consists of a number of pools surrounded by scrub and woodland. It provides good birdwatching opportunities all year round, with wildfowl in the winter, breeding warblers in the summer, and plenty of passage birds in spring and autumn.

Birds often on view include Cetti's Warbler, Water Rail and during the winter months the national rare Bittern. This blog is dedicated to the hard working volunteers who tend the site!
